Compressors and limiters are a necessary precense in studio or live audio engineering, because sounds with wide dynamic ranges often seep into frequencies or levels they don't need to be in! The Levelar from ART offers classic tube compression, keeping in line with the classic compressor tradition of having certain sonic "flavors" that made them unique. The Levelar aims to recreate that classic experience while creating it's own flavor you can't get anywhere else. Utilizing a premium 12AT7A tube with electro-optical (Vactrol) electronics, the Levelar delivers classic tone without the dull trappings and lack of character of many contemporary levelers. Works perfectly.
